Interview with Chanhyuk Kim and Dongil Jeong, Founders of RSV Club

"RSV is a 'web3 salon'... Seeking a community that stimulates the desire to belong"
The first whitelist minting is sold out… Public minting scheduled for late July
Plans to establish 10 branches in Seoul... "Only NFT holders can enter"

Non-Fungible Token (NFT), which emerged as a branch of blockchain technology, has recently been recognized for its value beyond a simple investment tool and its usage is increasing. A number of projects are appearing that focus on real-life experiences and community building beyond a kind of digital seal certification function.

Blooming Beat 'Jeong Hyo-rim's NFT Now' introduces NFT projects one by one that focus on connectivity with the real economy starting today (12th).

“I think NFT is the technical term with the sexiest image right now”

RSV Club Representative Kim Chan-hyeok and Operation Lead (team leader) Jeong Dong-il, who completed the first whitelist (Hwa-ri) minting on the 3rd, expressed this view in an interview with Blooming Beat on the 12th.

If coins or block chain technology were the exclusive property of tech guys (tech majors), NFT is a new and attractive category created within it, which greatly increased the public's accessibility.

RSV Club is a project that aims to build a business community by using NFTs like memberships. RSV NFT holders can freely continue networking in real restaurants owned by RSV.
"RSV is a 'web3 salon'... Seeking a community that stimulates the desire to belong"
The two founders explained, "The goal is to build a web3 salon and social club that people want to come to. RSV Club is different in that it can provide a satisfactory place for holders to hold offline meetings."

RSV opened its first Spanish restaurant, El Plateo, in Dogok-dong, Seoul in May. In addition, 130 OGs (original gangsters), including representatives of global startups and executives of domestic big tech companies, were secured as RSV holders as early members of the community.

Team leader Jeong said, "In the early stages of the project, we contacted each other one-on-one, and invited representatives, executives, and tech workers from each field who were curious about new fields and had progressive tendencies."

It is explained that OG selection was carefully selected because more people would want to become a member of the RSV community if they secured strong OGs to have productive conversations and share ideas and visions.

"Business ideas often come from private gatherings," he said. "RSV dreams of being a space where ideas are born and visions are shared." The purpose is to provide opportunities for holders to create new business, such as promoting projects or conducting headhunting, while interacting comfortably.
We are also planning to introduce a function to search for members so that we can know who is participating in the RSV project. This feature is only applicable to members who have allowed their identities to be disclosed.

The RSV team also participated as a speaker at the '2022 NFT NYC' held in New York, USA last month to promote the project. On the 3rd after returning to Korea, the first whitelist minting for OGs was completed.

Minting was conducted at OpenSea, the world's largest NFT marketplace, and a total of 100 NFTs were issued at 0.25 ETH each. This is equivalent to about KRW 350,000 at the current market price (based on CoinMarketCap). The first minting was sold out in 3 hours.

Representative Kim said, "Among those who purchased NFTs, there were some who were not familiar with Web3, but I am proud that they were sold out in a fairly short period of time."
Following the first whitelist minting, the RSV team plans to conduct the second public minting at the end of this month. Public minting refers to minting that anyone can participate in, unlike whitelist minting in which only those subject to priority participation can participate.

Team leader Jeong said, "We plan to release 200 NFTs during public minting," and added, "The total amount to be released later will be about 7,000."
"We will expand holder options by expanding to 10 branches in Seoul"
The RSV team plans to expand the space by establishing a total of 10 branches in Seoul in the future. Starting with the second store, RSV is considering expanding its space through a restaurant designed by itself or through partnerships with other stores.

As the number of branches increases, RSV NFT holders are expected to have more choices, such as being able to visit RSV spaces located in their respective living areas.

Regarding the currently opened first store, CEO Kim said, “After public minting, we will operate it for the general public during lunchtime, and only allow NFT holders and their acquaintances to enter during the evening hours.”

"By securing 10 major traffic lines in Seoul, we will provide a satisfactory place where holders can fully enjoy the utility of NFTs even if they do not have to go abroad," he said.
