Opening Ceremony on the 3rd floor of AK&Hongdae
Issued by Upbit from the 20th

The cat-faced Mona Lisa and the cat-faced pearl earring girl are smiling. The two witty reinterpretations of the masterpieces of the century are NFT (Non-Fungible Token) works produced as animations. A new work by Hwang Jeong-bin, who drew attention when parts of the 'Chinchilla Masterpiece Series' were sold out to Chinese collectors, was reborn as NFT.

Visitors who happened to visit the exhibition hall on the 3rd floor of AK&Hongdae, the mecca of shopping, were also taking selfies while looking at the NFT works made with friendly images. Next to the work of Jang Yun-seon, who is famous for his painting of a whale eating an apple, an NFT made of an animation of a whale swimming in the sky was also hung side by side. At last year's 'NFT Busan 2021' auction event, 'Dream of a Camel' was auctioned off at 100 million won, and along with the camel series by actor and painter Songah Yoon, who drew attention from the art world, 'Dream of a Camel' NFT was also taken.

‘Hey! NFT' exhibition held a grand opening ceremony on the 12th. Maeil Business TV is the first NFT exhibition held by domestic media. About 50 people attended the event, including Song Sang-yeop, CEO of Hancom With, Go Joon, CEO of Aekyung Group, and Jang Yong-soo, CEO of Maeil Business TV, as well as officials from the blockchain industry. Hyunjeong Yoon, CEO of iLab Media, and Hyunjin Cho, CEO of Jellyspace, explained future exhibitions and publication schedules. Artists such as Yoon Song-ah, Butterfly Hyeon-jeong, Hwang Jeong-bin, Lauren Jeong, and Jang Yoon-seon made the event shine by introducing their own works.

Maeil Business TV collaborates with Jelly Space, a blockchain promoter, and iLab Museum, a media art company, to continue issuing and trading NFTs following the exhibition. Through the exhibition, which will be held for eight months until February next year, about 30 artists will unveil their new NFTs as an offline exhibition. From the 20th, the works are minted (issued) through Upbit and traded freely. We plan to introduce 10 new NFT works every month.

Metagelis, K-pop Citizen, Mars, and Metaconz, which are PFP NFTs popular with NFT investors, will also be invited to future exhibitions. NFTs of famous celebrities such as Yoon Song-ah, Woo Hyun-min, and Ha Jung-woo will also be introduced. In the future, NFT production using the content of Maeil Economy will also be promoted.

Imano, director of iLab Museum, said, "The purpose of the exhibition is to broaden the base of NFT. We plan to work together with existing painting artists who have no NFT experience. In addition to distributing through Upbit and OpenC, we are looking for opportunities to exhibit our works overseas,” he explained.

'Hey! NFT' is decorated as an offline marketplace where NFT art exhibitions, purchases, and communication are combined, and media art exhibitions are also held.
