Most awards in the world's largest NFT event
What is the most notable non-fungible token (NFT) right now? Market experts predicted that 'BAYC (Boring Monkeys Yacht Club/Photo)', which is still considered the most famous NFT project in the world despite the bubble controversy, will attract attention in this field in the future.
The NFT NYC Secretariat, which hosts the world's largest NFT event, held the "NFT 2022 Award" in collaboration with Opensee, the world's largest NFT exchange, on the 23rd (local time). At the opening, NFTs by sector were selected based on transaction details and voting by event participants.
BAYC became the main character with the most awards. It won awards in five categories: Best-selling Collection, Most Innovative NFT Project, and Best NFT Business Model. BAYC is an NFT containing various monkey faces. The ransom has been raised with various benefits, such as creating an online/offline communication space where only the owner (holder) can enter.
In the NFT category with the most transactions, ‘Jed Run’ was selected. It is an NFT used in Zed Run, an NFT-based horse racing game. Jed Run was also cited as ‘the largest NFT on the Polygon blockchain platform’.
In the Best Art NFT category, ‘My Curio Cards’ won. About 30 NFTs were well-received for embodying various images such as Mona Lisa, Rodin, apples, and books.
Domestic NFT projects also received awards. ‘The Meta Kongz’, created by NFT company Meta Kongz, has been selected as the largest NFT on the Klaytn blockchain platform. It is an NFT featuring various gorilla characters. Recently, we are collaborating with various domestic companies such as Hyundai Motor Company and GS25. However, Metaconz decided to change the underlying blockchain to Ethereum last month.
Takashi Murakami, a famous Japanese pop artist, was selected as the best artist who turned from traditional art to NFT artist. He recently issued an NFT called ‘Murakami Flower Seed’. Nike won the award in the brand category that best utilized NFT. In December of last year, Nike acquired Artifact (RTFKT), a maker of NFT virtual sneakers. The NFT ‘Nike Dunk Genisys’, which was launched in April, sold more than 10,000 units within two weeks of its launch.
