Conun Group announced on the 6th that it has completed the establishment of CLROBUR Cycon, a joint venture with CLROBUR(CEO Choi Tae In), a ground control platform (GCP) company, and will start the 3D map-based 'Droneway NFT' business in earnest.
CLROBUR, a joint venture company, is already in the process of producing precise 3D maps and building virtual drone way for non-visual flight control using patented technology of drone shooting and Point Cloud. Jeju Island has been selected as a pilot area for the drone way NFT project, and drone way for major tourist destinations such as Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, Pyoseon Beach, and Jungmun Saekdal Beach NFT minting is in progress.
Droneway refers to a drone path based on spatial grid points on x, y, z spatial coordinates that includes various information such as three-dimensional precision space, obstacles, and climate necessary for safe flight of drones.
Choi Tae In, CEO of CLROBUR, said, “We are the only company in Korea that has its own patents and platforms related to 3D-based drone control,” and “On the 18th of last month, we are actively cooperating with the government, such as signing a business agreement to build a 3D map based on V-World with the Spatial Information Industry Promotion Agency under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, which manages and provides V-WORLD maps.”
Pyo Se Jin, Chairman of Conun Group, said, “3D maps are a basic asset in digital twins, metabuses, autonomous driving, and urban air transportation(UAM), and are particularly essential for non-visual flight in the UTM/UATM field,” and "In the future, the Conun Group will utilize the precise 3D map produced for drone control to advance into fields such as metaverse and VR games through CLROBUR Cycon.”
