Change educational content to NFT and distribute it...Sejong Telecom and Curieard 'Laporapo' Game Elements Appear for the First Time in Korea to Increase Learning Effect
For the first time in Korea, a platform that can change educational content into an irreplaceable token (NFT) and distribute it has emerged. The move is aimed at expanding the educational content market by guaranteeing the copyright of creators.

La Porapo, a gamification (gameization) platform launched by Sejong Telecom and Curiead last month, is designed to promote sharing of class materials by NFTing contents of educational experts such as teachers and give legitimate rewards to data producers. The two companies developed the platform by participating in the "2022 Blockchain Private Sector Pilot Project" organized by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency.

It is characterized by applying game elements to various places beyond sharing educational content so that students can enjoy learning. There are various contents such as "Hit & Run," a strategy card baseball game that allows you to collect figure cards obtained by solving problems offline and compete with the other team, "Quiz Time" and "QR Quiz Room Escape," where you can enjoy games while acquiring knowledge through problem solving.

There are also services such as "Lapo Council," a discussion, discussion, and voting service that allows you to learn the decision-making process, and "Problem Library," which creates and manages problems in the game by becoming a problem editor. Nine types of mini-games are also registered.

Curiead, which builds a gamification learning platform, said it will help various augmented reality (AR)-based learning contents operate through Laporapo. The company is also expanding its related market through the special education field education game "ping pong" and advertising convergence quiz app "We Quiz." Ahn Tae-hwan, CEO of Curiead, said, "Through Laporapo, we will leap forward into a service that encompasses not only elementary, middle, and high school students but also various classes by life cycle."

Sejong Telecom provides blockchain-related infrastructure by recording content providers' educational content use in hyperleisure fabrics and creating smart contracts that automatically allocate profits whenever content is used. Park Hyo-jin, vice president of blockchain business at Sejong Telecom, said, "The education ecosystem for future generations will contribute to developing competitiveness based on digital technology."
