The M2E craze is still hot. M2E is filling the vacancy of P2E, which has been virtually expelled from the domestic market due to various regulations. As a result, companies are paying keen attention to M2E. Earlier, Snickers attracted investment from "CritVentures," a venture investment company that CEO Song Jae-joon of Com2us holds management rights as the largest shareholder.

This time it's We Made. WeMade announced the signing of a strategic investment contract with Sneakers on the 4th. The specific amount was not disclosed, but a large-scale investment was reportedly made. Sneakers have succeeded in attracting investment from WeMade following Com2us, and are solidifying the size of the backer.

"Sneakers' irreplaceable token (NFT) is a project that is expected to be listed on the exchange in the future, ranking first in sales in Clayton over the past 30 days at OpenC," WeMade said. "We have built a sustainable business model by adding the concept of 'land' linked to the reality map to the existing M2E business model."

"We are also looking forward to this sneaker investment as we have invested in virtual asset projects that have practical use and have achieved investment results such as the expansion of the WEMIX ecosystem," he said.
"Sneakers' community is growing to be the number one among domestic M2E projects with about 100,000 people," the Sneakers team said. "As the proportion of overseas users such as Japan is growing into a global project, we will cooperate with WeMade to accelerate the global expansion of Sneakers."
Introduction of 'land' system with actual map connection..."Playing the role of a marketing platform
The sneakers team is currently developing a 'land' system with the goal of beta in August and official opening in September. The "land" system consists of "spots" where users visit the location to perform quests and receive rewards, "tiles" that occupy the land in the form of monopoly through records of the last 7 days, and "land" where sneakers users can be compensated whenever they pass the area and foster the area as quests.

According to information from the "Land" system released by the sneakers team on the 29th, Seoul consists of 20,000 tiles and 2,000 lands. The user who has exercised the most in the region in the past seven days will acquire tiles in the region and receive compensation accordingly. In addition, it plans to provide functions such as inserting desired images in tiles.
The sneakers team said, "Many companies are paying a considerable amount of money to induce customers to visit offline stores. However, no online platforms currently meet this part, he said. "Due to the nature of M2E, many users can create one large offline traffic through exercise." "We will also play a role as a marketing platform using this part," he explained.

"Companies can also expect effects such as paying for users' offline traffic and holding advertisements and various events," he said. "I think it is important to create sustainable services by incorporating marketing elements, not just NFT sales."
"We are the first in the world to participate in 'Open Mode' without NFT."
Sneakers introduced "open mode," so-called "free to play," which anyone can participate in regardless of whether or not NFT is purchased, for the first time in domestic and foreign M2E projects.

The sneakers team has developed an 'open mode' system that allows you to participate in sports even if you are not NFT holders. As soon as they download the app, they can choose practice shoes and participate in the exercise, he said. "We have configured them to experience some of the functions of NFT holders as they can also foster practice shoes."

"We want to make ordinary users who are not familiar with virtual assets use our application. He added, "It will make them melt so naturally that they don't know how to interact with blockchain technology."

However, the goal is to make them a potential customer group of the Web3 ecosystem by making a difference in compensation between "open mode" users and NFT holders. "The rewards that 'open mode' users can receive will be only a small portion compared to NFT holders," the Sneakers team said. "If they withdraw their rewards, we plan to use a strategy to increase their desire to buy sneakers and increase more users."
"Not M2E, but M&E...""Sneakers' unique differentiated service will be introduced"
The sneakers team stressed that it will continue to update high-quality functions so that users can focus only on exercise. Through differentiated functions and events, it is an aspiration to be reborn as a healthcare platform, not just an M2E and NFT platforms.

They said, "We will develop in the direction of M&E (Move and Ear) that makes profits by exercising rather than exercising for profit," adding, "We continue to prepare functions and events that are different from other M2E."

On July 17, Snickers announced the support of Apple Watch for the first time in global M2E. In addition, running and bicycle modes are also being supported simultaneously for the first time. In addition, we will continue to collaborate with various fashion brands and sports brands to combine with the real economy, the sneakers team said. "We recently announced shoes that we collaborated with famous fashion designer YoniP's fashion brand 'Hyper Sports Club'."

"Sneakers is a big service in the overseas market, with 70% of overseas users already accessing it. Through an exclusive contract with JPYC, a stable coin that can be charged into Japanese accounts, we are also making efforts to develop a global M&E platform that represents the next generation through a structure that anyone can participate in by increasing participation in the M2E Japanese market.
