The Professional Golfers Assiciation(PGA) Tour also rides on the non-fungible token(NFT) craze. On the 1st(Korean time), US Golf.com reported that the PGA Tour is in the final stages of partnering with multiple NFT companies, and will soon ask tour players whether or not to participate.

NFTs use blockchain technology to give digital assets a unique recognition value. Since duplication or forgery is impossible, it transforms intangible contents into valuable assets. The NFT craze that started in art is rapidly spreading to sports through games, fashion, and entertainment. The National Basketball Association(NBA) and Major League Baseball(MLB) have started making money by making NFTs of players' autographs and videos.

According to Golf.com, the PGA Tour is discussing business with the NFT platforms Autograph and Sorare. Autograph is where the ‘golf emperor’ Tiger Woods has his stake, and in October of last year, Woods even put out his autograph as an NFT through this platform. Sorare is a company in charge of the NFT business of the European Football League.
