Changwon City, Gyeongsangnam-do, helps artists working in the region enter the NFT content market.
Changwon City announced on the 2nd that it will implement the "NFT ART in Changwon" project. This is a project to support the entire process from the production to distribution of NFT works by local artists. The recruitment field is all areas that can be published as NFTs, such as painting, photography, and video. Prospective artists who are Changwon citizens and have experience in exhibitions or major in art can apply until the 30th.
Artists participating in this project can receive overall support such as producing NFT works, registering and selling artists and works on the NFT platform, and promoting artists and works through the NFT ART in Changwon web page. Chung Hyun-seop, director of the Culture, Tourism and Sports Bureau in Changwon City, said, "This project is to support local artists to enter a new art market that incorporates new technologies." NFT uses blockchain technology to give unique recognition values to digital content, which allows content such as pictures, videos, and music to be stored and traded as digital original that cannot be reproduced.
