[M-Block Letter] There's a special memory that comes to mind when you think of February. It's Valentine's Day. Whiskey brand Valentine will hold an exhibition that combines art, NFT and experience at the Next Museum, located on the second floor of Lotte World Mall, from February 9 to March 19 to mark Valentine's Day. Next Museum is an NFT exhibition space opened late last year by Lotte Department Store, Kakao Blockchain affiliate Ground X, and Fine Art Gallery Emporary. Unlike ordinary NFT galleries that fill the space only with artists' digital art displays, Next Museum is well-received for its various exhibitions such as real art and NFT as well as experiential content in collaboration with brands. It actively utilizes the strengths of Lotte Department Store, a strong distributor.

Fruit Island, which was the first exhibition, became a hot topic by publishing NFTs and producing sweatshirts with Kim's fruit store, a T-shirt brand that the MZ generation is enthusiastic about. This brand, which stands in line to buy a single 2030 T-shirt, has only been selling short-sleeved T-shirts. In addition, I was able to enjoy the fruits I saw at the exhibition as the same type of dessert at the cafe and purchase goods that I collaborated with artists. Thanks to this, it was also very popular with people who were not interested in the first exhibition, NFT. The geographical advantage of the second floor of Lotte World Mall also played a role.

I went to the second exhibition of the Next Museum, 'Valentine's Day Farewell, The Story of Singles', on the opening day. I've been thinking about going there at least once, but I gave up, but I couldn't stand collaboration with Valentine. This exhibition was defined as an exhibition for singles to emphasize that Valentine is a single malt whiskey. The artists composed physical and digital works with eight key words related to Valentine as a single. The most impressive works were <Cake for You>, in which a girl with a nosebleed while making a cake, and <The Narakdo Rock> by Jang Eun-bi, who can fully feel the emotions of the mz generation. In particular, it was regrettable that author Jang Eun-bi's work could not be seen through NFT. The more I opened it, the more I had to smirk.

Of the eight artists in total, only Childistic and Ryokan Kim's works were available on Clip Drops. Some of the representative works were already sold out despite the high price range of more than 100,000 won, perhaps because they were sold at Clip Drops from February 7th before the exhibition began. Except for the representative works, the rest can only be purchased by reading the QR code in the exhibition hall.

The part I was looking forward to the most was the two-part experience content that is predicted to be the flower of this exhibition. The Next Museum is divided into three parts: one part used as an exhibition hall, two parts as an experiential space, and a cafe selling drinks and desserts related to the exhibition. Unfortunately, what I saw in the picture was all I experienced. There was no explanation for the connection between the paintings inspired by Valentine's single malt, so it seemed like nothing more than the whiskey on display at the Bartle Shop and the picture on top of it. There was no storytelling at all. It was unclear whether it was a collaboration with Valentine except for the second part because the goods and traces of the previous exhibition remained intact, perhaps because it was the first day of the exhibition. Unlike the first exhibition, Fruit Island, the three-part cafe also had no new things to enjoy, such as desserts and drinks that we collaborated on.

According to the official's explanation, the exhibition will be properly enjoyed from this weekend. Every Saturday and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., we will hold a tasting of Valentine's three single malts in the second part. You can also purchase displayed valentines here. Only those who purchase on-site will receive a tote bag printed with collaboration with the artist. In addition, the three cafes will sell highball, a new menu, for the exhibition with Valentine. In addition, in line with the theme of Valentine's Day, Vintuba chocolate, which is processed from cacao beans to bars at once in domestic factories, will be introduced. It would have been nice if it went like this from the first day of the exhibition, but it's a shame. For subscribers who are planning to visit Jamsil this weekend, it would be a good idea to stop by.
