"Berg City is a society implemented on Web3. I wanted to bring what humans actually experience online. I'm sure there will be many projects that advocate Web3 countries in the future."

Community, one of the most important factors in launching an irreplaceable token (NFT) project. Unlike existing companies, the influence of the community is bound to grow even more because it is a market that values instant communication between holders and projects.

Bughole's NFT project Bug City, which started with Twitter to Earn, was born shouting the importance of the community. The priority is to create a community where people can have fun. I met with the founder of Evan Berg City and heard what they thought of the direction and the future of the NFT project.

Revitalizing the Community First…You can also enjoy NFT non-holders.

The beginning of Bug City was Twitter. Founder Evan said, "When I saw that NFT projects and communities were active on Twitter, I came up with an NFT project using Twitter," adding, "We gathered people in the form of setting a specific topic every day and every week and posting and retweeting related tweets."

As of April and May this year, the number of tweets mentioned Bug City was 4,600, which is never insufficient compared to 4,500 Doodle and 5,200 BAYC, he said. "Based on this, we made Bug City's name and created a discode channel to take on what it is now."

It was also aimed at changing the environment in which existing NFT projects simply used chat as a way to raise the level to chat for benefits. He wanted to create a project where people gathered through NFT can enjoy without talking about money.

Evan founder said, "The most important thing, whether offline or online, is the formation of human relationships. If you look at the community of most NFT projects, chat has been used only as a chatroom element. In short, we are chatting to make money, he said. "We wanted to build a system that naturally makes money because we chat with fun."

In addition, it also drew active participation from non-holders by allowing anyone to participate in the community and earn points. It focuses on revitalizing the community and attracting users. Evan Founder was confident that this was the biggest difference from other NFT projects.

He said, "Berg City has a vague distinction between holder and non-holder. You just have to play with people who get along well here. "I think it can be considered a virtual society excluding a sense of space," he said. "However, there is a difference in point distribution between holders and non-holders." "In the future, we intend to expand and apply this part further," he said.

"There are about 50 places to use their own points…"Partnership with other projects"

Bug City has not yet issued its own coin. Economic activities in Bug City are returning only to points given on their own.

Asked if there are enough places to use these points, Evan Founder said, "There are more than 50 places to use points in Bug City," stressing, "Most of the contents and uses are created by themselves within the community."

"Currently, the DAU (Daily Active User) of Bug City Discord is measured at 9-10% of subscribers," he said. "Considering that the DAU of other large metaverse platforms is about 0.05%, we can realize how active Bug City's community is."

"We were able to build our own society and economy just by providing Burtcoin, a virtual point," he said. "There are more than 50 places in Discord that the community has created for itself, including NFT transactions, auctions, tarot, business cards, paintings, and advertising agencies."

It also creates a destination through partnership with other projects. It is a way to lend Bug City's community to projects that have difficulty forming a community and obtain a place to use it.

Evan Founder said, "If you are having a hard time forming a community regardless of the size of the project or want to explore the possibilities, we are actively providing Bug City's community," adding, "From the perspective of the project, it is a virtuous cycle that makes it easier to promote in the already active community and explore the future direction."

"Dixel Club, a domestic pixel art NFT platform, and Crypto Punch of Naver Z have used our community to check the possibility," he said. "Currently, contact is coming from various places, such as suggesting that they want to test the new NFT business through the community."

Recently, Berghole attracted a total of 1.6 billion won worth of seed investment rounds from KB Investment, Kakao Ventures, Philosopia Ventures, and eight Web3 startups and founders.

The founder Evan said, "It seems that our project has been judged to be scalable in the NFT and Web3 markets," and added, "Web3 virtual society is already running in the global market." "I think I probably gave a high score to that," he said.

Based on this, Bug City is preparing more diverse projects such as P2E (Play to Ear) and metaverse platform. The plan is to move on to the next stage after the formation of a point economy has already been completed around Burtcoin.

"We are preparing Burumables (tentative name), a P2E game based on Bug City points and virtual assets," he said. "The existing P2E games were easier to play only with virtual assets." However, our P2E is developing so that we can play games only with points earned from community and social network activities without virtual assets. The details will be announced later, he explained. It also plans to promote NFT purchases by providing advantageous benefits for games to NFT holders.

In addition, it is preparing its own metaverse platform. Founder Evan said, "We are planning a metaverse platform that instills a sense of space into a discord-based completed virtual society. Existing metaverse real estate-related services rarely function in space, he said. "Based on our successful virtual society design experience, we will put usability into space to provide a reason for users to access."

"We will allow item makers to freely participate in creating and selling various items," he said. "Participants will use points to purchase items and decorate their stores and villages."

Global Markets Are Also Active..."Web 3 will be the best country"

It is also going to enter the global market by establishing channels exclusively for overseas markets. The founder of Evan believes that it will be easy to enter the global market, given that Bug City is a project that is independent of the mainnet. It also explains that it is making meaningful results by incorporating the strategy of growing projects based on the community in Korea into the global market.

In particular, it plans to attract users who are active in Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) ecosystems, which divide the global NFT market.

Founder Evan said, "Recently, the founder of Ethereum's leading blue chip NFT project 'Doodles' and the co-founder of NFT project team 'RTFKT' under Nike have expressed interest in Bug City. In particular, RTFKT asked us to produce meme content, he said. "We are also making our name known in the global market, with a research partner working at Andersen Horowitz (a16z), a global venture capital (VC), requesting participation in the podcast."

In addition, he also expressed his determination to raise the trading volume of Bug City NFT to the top 20 in terms of global NFT marketplace Open Market by February next year. Bughole has issued 10,000 NFTs in the form of Profile Pictures (PFP) and ID cards, and about 1,000 people have them.

Founder Evan said, "NFT's trading volume and prices are rising slowly but slowly. "The goal is to start targeting the global market in earnest and raise the trading volume of Bug City NFT to the top 20 based on Open Market by February next year," he said.

"Most of the virtual asset markets are having a hard time as they enter a recession, but we want to be a project that is steadily developing without being affected by this," he said. "We can bet everything on the emergence of a large number of networked Web3 countries within a year." As such, the future of our project is certain, and it will be the most advanced Web3 country," he added.
