Sesame Research Institute (CEO Kim Do-hyun), a blockchain-based integrated key (KEY) platform company, announced on the 17th that the digital key platform "KEYRING" will enter Singapore and Japan. This is the first time that Ki-Ling has been introduced overseas.

Sesame Research Institute's keyring is the world's first digital key platform that combines blockchain and non-fungible token (NFT) technology. Since its launch in Korea in March this year, it has surpassed 80,000 generations of users in five months and is receiving great response.

Keyring's flagship service, Joint Entrance Door Management Solution, features remote control of the entrance door with a single mobile phone app for authenticated users without any physical contact. It can be widely used in various facilities such as hotels, various accommodation facilities, shared offices, offices, and fitness centers, and has increased the convenience and security of access.

The entry into Singapore was promoted when the keyring of the Sesame Research Institute was selected for the overseas expansion support project conducted by the K-Startup Center of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. This is the result of Ki-Ling's rapid growth in the domestic market and its potential in the global market.

Starting with the launch of the global service in August, the Sesame Research Institute is preparing to establish a Singapore corporation within this year. In the case of Singapore, more than 30,000 users are already using the smart door lock brand KEYWE, and they plan to quickly establish themselves using their existing know-how to enter Singapore. On top of that, Switzerland-based global accelerator "F10" will support local mentoring to build a local partner of the Sesame Research Institute in the Singapore market and link investment companies to attract additional Tutsi.

Starting with its entry into Singapore for the first time, the company will also introduce key rings in Japan in August. In 2018, the Sesame Research Institute participated in a development test to install 5G communication functions in the door lock through the "5G Open Partner Program" of NTT DoCoMo, Japan's largest mobile carrier. Since then, it has launched a specialized smart door lock optimized for Japan's door environment in 2020 and signed a $2 million (about 2.6 billion won) smart door lock supply partnership with Japan's smart home company Secure and IT solution company UME, confirming its competitiveness in the Japanese market.

As a result, the Sesame Research Institute is currently in the process of contracting with Dave, a joint entrance and exit device in Japan, and plans to actively explore the market in Japan in the future.

Kim Do-hyun, CEO of Sesame Research Institute, said, "Since the launch of the keyring app in March this year, we have been able to launch keyring global services in overseas markets thanks to the love of domestic consumers. Starting with Singapore and Japan, we plan to continue our active sales and marketing activities.

Meanwhile, since launching the first smart door lock in Korea in 2018, Sesame Research Institute has developed and sold various products and solutions that can easily control and manage access to space. As a company with both hardware and software security solution development capabilities, it is steadily developing various projects for digitizing keys with the goal of ultimately creating a "physically keyless world."
