Yat Siu, founder and chairman of Animocabrands, called the "master of Metabus," visited Cube Entertainment's office building on the 10th and held a closed-door meeting with officials from major domestic financial firms and blockchain companies. They shared opinions on the future direction of blockchain, metaverse, and irreplaceable token (NFT) and market prospects.
Chairman Siwoo attended the meeting with Zaf Chow, director of Digital Strategy and Partnership at Animocabrands. About 10 financial firms and content industry officials, including Kang Seung-gon, CEO of Cube Entertainment, Lee Seung-won, vice president of AnyCube Entertainment, Jeon Byung-guk, vice president of Hana Securities, and In Chi-won, head of Kakao Entertainment's investment office, were present at the site. In addition, officials from blockchain companies, including Lee Sung-jae, CEO of Nestry, and Kim Jong-hyeop, CEO of Iconloop, also attended.
Chairman Siwoo said in a greeting, "Animoca Brands is actively collaborating with Korean companies," adding, "In particular, Korea is an impressive content market." "I have a great will to make good use of Korean content," he stressed.
"As the value of NFT comes from originality and personality, we want to create original content based on a strong partnership with Cube," he said. "We plan to issue NFTs using intellectual property rights (IP) including Cube's artists soon."
Previously, Cube Entertainment established a joint venture (JV) "ANICUBE ENTERTAINMENT LIMITED (hereinafter referred to as ANICUBE ENTERTAINMENT)" with Animoca Brands in January. As it is a joint venture led by Chairman Siwoo himself, AnyCube Entertainment's business development is also expected to accelerate. With the goal of "Music Metaverse," AnyCube Entertainment currently plans to implement an environment in which music creators directly create and own music sources on Metaverse, share and trade them with fans.
