Blockchain Conference Biddle Asia Business Announcement
CEO Kim Seung-hyun is making a business announcement at the blockchain conference "Biddle Asia 2022" held in Songpa-gu, Seoul on the 4th.
"Our goal is to contribute to popularizing the blockchain ecosystem by creating services that are easy for users to use. Like browsers such as Chrome and Naver, which greatly enhance the convenience of the Internet. " (Kim Seung-hyun, CEO of Block Wave Labs)
There are many eyes on blockchain technology. There is a negative view that it is a fraud with an unclear substance, and there is a view that it will become common like the current Internet. Some people are enthusiastic about it as an attractive investment product rather than the technology itself. Nevertheless, one thing most of them feel in common is that "blockchain is difficult." Not only technical concepts but also related services are complex and difficult for users.
As the crypto industry recognizes this as an important problem, companies and services that want to increase the convenience of blockchain services are emerging one after another. The Blockwave Labs team is one of them. Hankyung Geeks met with Kim Seung-hyun, CEO of Block Wave Labs, in Gangnam, Seoul on the 5th.
Fascinated by blockchain...Take a leave of absence and decide to start a business

CEO Kim, who was a freshman in the business administration department at Seoul National University, started his own business after seeing the possibility of blockchain. "I thought blockchain was a technology that could spread like the Internet in the future, but it didn't reach most people," he said. "I wanted to pioneer the market by making products so that people could easily use blockchain."
He is also a member of the blockchain community 'Nons'. Nonce is the place where famous blockchain start-up teams such as DSRV and Hatch Labs went through.
In order to use the blockchain infrastructure, a wallet that can store virtual assets, participants who can select and operate optimized networks, and operating solutions for the assets of companies and customers accumulated in wallets are needed. The company aims to lead the popularization of blockchain by building these solutions in advance and providing them like parts.
All kinds of wallets and NFTs are stored in one place.

The first flagship product is MEPE, a multi-wallet dashboard. The Blockwave Labs team won the world-renowned hackathon 'HackATOM' held last month and had a chance to announce related businesses. The winner of the Hack Atom will be given a chance to present at the blockchain developer conference "Biddle Asia 2022. CEO Kim announced Block Wave Labs' new product MEPE service at the meeting.
In the blockchain ecosystem, wallets are a ladder that connects users and the blockchain world. This is because you need a wallet to access the blockchain network, just as you access the Internet through a browser. This allows money transactions and holds irreplaceable tokens (NFTs).
MEPE also provides social functions that link the NFT and SNS. MEPE Capture
The problem is that there are too many wallets. The Internet will be accessed through any browser as a "WWW", but the blockchain will have different wallets for each network. To create wallet addresses under operating systems such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and Polygon, each has a different system, so each must be made differently. In other words, the number of apps that need to be installed is increasing.
MEPE connects wallets scattered across many chains to make them easy to use. It also supports the liquidity function that allows virtual assets deposited in one chain to be used in other chains, and improves usability by adding friends and adding NFT-based community functions.
"It wasn't until the advent of smartphones that we started using the mobile Internet in earnest. If you download it from the App Store, you can use various services. Before that, if you think about the mobile Internet, you accidentally press the Nate button in the middle and you get a lot of fees...Something that wasn't supposed to be used.(laughing)
Expanding business with B2B services
CEO Kim said, "B2B (Business-to-Business Transaction) service will soon begin in earnest." "We will supply solutions to companies that need technology, such as compliance with due dates, compliance with safety matters, and security," he said. "We are in talks with major companies."
"The advantages of blockchain are clear. Internet servers cannot be shared with other companies, but they can be shared in blockchain systems based on encryption and distributed technologies. It is optimized for interoperability. I think blockchain can provide us with many things like the Internet. In addition to cryptocurrency, I think it can bring infinite scalability to various industries. "
