Mode House Develops 'Cosmo', a blockchain-based fan-participating platform
Cosmo App will be released for the first time on August 8th at 8 p.m.
"Enterprise Industry Innovation with Blockchain Technology"

Mode House was founded by CEO Jung Byung-ki, who has produced a number of idols such as Wonder Girls, Miss A, 2AM, 2PM, and LOONA at leading domestic agencies such as JYP and Woollim Entertainment, and Vice CEO Baek Kwang-hyun, who has been through the domestic web drama studio Playlist COO.
They joined forces to innovate the structural problems of the existing entertainment industry. As a result, it developed 'Cosmo', a blockchain-based fan-participating entertainment platform.
Cosmo's own application (app), which is the first result of development, will be officially released at 8 p.m. on the 8th. The main function of the Cosmo app is the issuance and storage of 'objekt', an NFT-based photo card. If you scan the QR code embedded in the object purchased offline or online, it is issued as NFT in the wallet in the app and stored.

"The Cosmo app was developed so that K-pop fans can use NFT most easily and comfortably without following the existing NFT grammar," Deputy CEO Baek said. "We made it possible to use it without difficulty even if we don't know any specialized functions or terms such as wallet or fee."
"In fact, objects are NFTs that can be purchased at regular prices without price changes unlike existing NFTs," he said. "We made them possible to purchase them for idols who support them, not for investment purposes."
You can purchase a physical card of the object, which contains members of the first girl group "Triple S" currently being prepared by Mode House, at GS25 offline stores. In the future, the object will be used as a means of listening to fans' opinions, such as using it as a voting right at Cosmo voting events. As it produces fan-participating platforms and idols, NFT is used as a means for fans to participate in the process of producing (producing) idols themselves.
Deputy CEO Baek said, "It is a structure that allows you to receive objects through fan activities and express your opinions in the decision-making process with the objects. In other words, the more you get a fan, the more you get an NFT, and the more you get a voice during the production process."
"All the processes of publishing and providing objects remain online, and through this, we can transparently see the contribution of fans," he said. "We plan to create an ecosystem where we make decisions with fans and produce idols together and revitalize the community." He added, "It is to realize the role of national producers."
Mode House announced its ambition to open the era of Enter 3.0 by going beyond the launch of Cosmo app. Beyond ownership of intellectual property rights (IP), it aims to lead the era of two-way entertainment in which fans directly participate and express their opinions through blockchain-based governance.
"Just as FinTech has innovated the financial market, we want to innovate the entertainment market with blockchain-based entertainment technology," Deputy CEO Baek said. "We will show that we can grow our community even if we are not a large entertainment company by becoming a new open platform."
"I think each existing industry, such as the entertainment market, needs an optimized NFT model," he said. "When NFT is applied to the actual industry and mass adoption (popularization), services or ecosystems can continue to be solid." "I hope Cosmo will be an example of NFT's actual utility," he said.
