The multichain-based decentralized NFT wallet 'Token' announced on the 28th that it will issue 'Aquarium-1402' as an NFT, one of the works of author Soonmyeong Hong's 'Sidescapes' series.
Hong Soon-myung is a painting and installation artist who has built a reputation by exhibiting at leading art museums in Korea and abroad, including the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Daegu Art Museum, and Saint-Andre Museum of Contemporary Art in Abey, France. 'Aquarium-1402', which will be issued as an NFT, is evaluated as one of Hong Soon-myeong's masterpieces.
The publication of this NFT started from Hong Soon-myung's personal concerns. It is an explanation that this NFT issuance will test what kind of social value fine art can create by meeting new technologies in a rapidly changing art environment.
Author Soonmyeong Hong's NFT works will be available for purchase through Token's own NFT marketplace from the end of next month. For those who purchase, we plan to provide benefits such as museum membership at Korea's first private art museum, 'Total Museum of Art'. In addition, part of the sales proceeds are donated to animal welfare organizations according to the will of author Hong Soon-myeong.
Minsu Joo, CEO of Token, said, "For the growth of the NFT market, a variety of NFTs that provide meaningful collectible value to the general public must emerge." will be given priority,” he said.
