Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 18th that it will operate

‘IONIQ Citizenship’, a membership privilege program for NFT holders.


Hyundai Motor Company plans to materialize the electrification lifestyle pursued by the Ioniq 6 through the ‘Ioniq 6 NFT Collection’, which was unveiled on the 14th in line with the schedule of the Ioniq 6 world’s first public event. To this end, it decided to operate an NFT membership program, Ioniq Citizenship, and provide exclusive experiences and privileges to NFT holders.

Ioniq Citizenship is characterized by extending the unique electrification experience of Ioniq beyond the functional value of Ioniq to the digital realm with no physical limitations. The right to enter a digital space dedicated to NFT holders and interesting digital content and items for Ioniq 6 will be provided, and some benefits will be discriminated against according to the rarity of the NFTs held.

Starting with special fashion items and VIP privileges that can be used in ‘Planet Hyundai’, a virtual space opened in collaboration between Naver Jet and Hyundai Motor Company,
A gift card to create a real custom phone case from NFTYC (NFT Your Case) under Casetify, a global tech accessory brand that introduced the world's first NFT phone case, is provided.

In addition, Hyundai Motor Company plans to sequentially unveil Ioniq Digital Garage, a virtual space where participatory events for holders are held.


An official from Hyundai Motor said, "The Ioniq 6 NFT is a meaningful attempt to expand NFT, which has been attracting attention as a means of investment and ownership, into the realm of stories and experiences."
  He added, “Based on the unique value of the IONIQ lineup, we expect to expand contact points with customers and interact with them in a more innovative way.”

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor Company adopted and distributed the Ioniq 6 NFT collection by adopting a free airdrop method rather than a sales method to increase accessibility to NFTs and provide an opportunity for anyone to participate in the exciting world provided by Ioniq.
